Soooooooo I watched Mei-chan no Shitsuji last night.

Actually in two parts last night and the day before.

God, this show, I'm still like oh my god why do you even exist ^^;;;

It's like ruderal_species said -- this production is like an anime musical, just a bunch of caricatures / manga stereotypes running around on a stage. ( Without any kind of moral message at the end to make it a worthwhile story. )

I was up late reading, and then I noticed that no one had said or done anything about this or this, and then suddenly I was up really late wiki-ing. >.>;;;

( Mei-chan cast first, since I did it first. )

It's an entertaining show. It's a spectacle. It's... pop and hip-hop dancing and crazy hair and a lot of gimmickry, okay.

I spent a good portion of the first act thinking how much it pandered to the new generation and wasn't quite worth all the hype... But by the time it was finished I felt like I had seen something good and decent.

( It's still Romeo and Juliet, and all that entails. )

I wrote my letter for Alice-chan tomorrow reiterating how happy I am, and it made me feel better. No matter how sad I get I'm actually so, so happy, and so grateful.

I feel better enough to post a few random things at 1:00AM. ;P

Another reason to feel bad for Riku: She had to do her shinko speech still in "one-armed" mode ^_^;;;;

Inclination to agree on some points vs. stubbornness about changing my mind.
